I've visited the Yorkshire sculpture park on many occasions now it has been a big source of inspiration for me as its right on my doorstep and so many world renowned artists display their work there but not only that the landscape is just breath-taking. To me I always connect the Yorkshire sculpture with my home.

KAWS
I went the other day because I've just got back from University and I saw that KAWS was exhibiting. This is his first UK museum exhibition of work.
KAWS is an artist and designer based in New York and he is famous all over the world. These Images below are some of his work that is on display at the moment in the Yorkshire Sculpture park. The Yorkshire Sculpture Park is a very different setting for him as he usually shows his work within a city environment. But I think it works great as you can see them from a distance and then as you walk closer to them you get a sense of how great they are because they tower over you. All his figures are representing an emotion that we can all recognise bit its done in a gentle way.
The open-air exhibition is open until December 2016 but his work in the Long side Gallery closed on the 12th of June.

NOT VITAL
Also there was another artist that caught my attention called Not Vital, he is a world renowned sculpture and like KAWS this was also his first major exhibition in the UK. Not Vital is inspired by his travels and by the environment that he grew up in has effected his work as well, as he was surrounded by snowy grey mountains. You can see that in his work that he creates, as whites and greys are his main colour palette as they very important to him.
His work is showing in the Underground Gallery, Garden Gallery and open air until the 2nd of January 2017.

But all in all you should just go to the Yorkshire sculpture park anyway especially if you live near there it’s free only have to pay for parking. It’s a good day out and they do a great Ham hock salad and potato wedges so it’s a win win really.
