Why did I choose to go to Swansea College of Art?
I don’t know if many people know but there are not many Surface Pattern Design courses in the whole of the United Kingdom, and I applied for all of them, and eventually chose Swansea.
Here are some of the reasons why.
First off when I walked in to the studio, it was full of everybody’s work all up on their desks, and everybody was so positive.
They also have great facilities for the students to learn how to use and experiment with.
The tutors I met on my interview day were also very positive and having been taught by them for nearly two and a bit years I find them to be really useful and we get to have a lot of contact time with the tutors.
I also felt at home by the surroundings that Swansea has to offer. See photos above.
They also have a pretty good night scene as well.
And as I have gone along with this course I have met some amazing people and learnt so many different skills and different ways of working. I will never forget the time that I have spent here and Swansea will always be defended by me when people trash talk it.
